I got a message from a friend that they wanted to meet for coffee about midnight. I had been indulging in my depression for the previous couple of days and decided that a shower and a cuppa would do me good.
Met at a Dennys about a half an hour from basecamp. We talked shop, caught up on what we had been doing instead of sleeping regular, and she gave me a gift. There's a hotel on the same lot as the diner. I rented a room and went to try to pass out. There was a great sleeper sofa on the room so I laid on that while watching classic movies and infomercials. Dozed for a couple hours and then went for breakfast about 9. The biscuits and gravy were okay, but not really good. I did get some drawing in and there was a junior hockey (at least I hope it was a junior, or else I am getting way too old) team in town from battle creek. Also, there was a family where I got to watch a 4 year old playing and trying to impress his grandad. Snow hit for a few minutes and left without do much as coloring the bushes, but it was pretty. Now I am heading to watch too many movies. Safe travels and happy holidays to those on the road.
